Unlucky

I don't know what it is with my kids, but they must be somewhat unlucky. They always seem to get sick right after their birthdays. Carlee got sick right after her first birthday, then again right after her fourth, and about a month after her sixth. Savannah WAS sick (and in the ER) on her first birthday, she was sick on her third birthday (and missed Thanksgiving dinner) and is now sick right after her fourth. This is no fun!

Sorry - guess I needed to vent.

Happy 4th Birthday, Savannah!

Savannah's 4th birthday was November 26. (I know I'm a few days late, but this day WAS her due date, so it still counts, right?) She got lots of presents, from lots of people and was very spoiled!

This is Savannah with her birthday cupcakes! (Since her birthday was on Thanksgiving, we had the cupcakes the night before.)

The wisdom of an (almost) 4 year old

Tonight Savannah told me that she doesn't like to be alone. (I was putting her to bed and she has her own room.) I told her that she's not really alone becauase we are all in the house with her. She then said "Well, I'm never really alone because the Holy Ghost is always with me."

Oh, how I love these moments! Even when I think they don't listen when we try to teach them, it still sinks in somehow!

Ballerinas and princesses

Here is our ballerina: She does these kinds of things on a daily basis. She tells us that ballet is her talent, and she must practice it. I have a feeling we will be paying for dance lessons in the near future ...

And here is the little chica that is into everything PRINCESS! (Notice the shirt!) And, in case you were wondering, she tells us that her talent is reading. :)

What's in a title? Can't think of one!

So, Savannah can spell her name. (She's been able to for a while now, but this idea was so cute!) My mom gave me such a hard time when I decided (yes, poor Jeff really didn't get a say in her name) that I wanted to name her Savannah. She gave me a hard time because it's so long. But then I was able to point out that it's only 1 letter longer than my name. :) She didn't give me a hard time after that! :) Anyways, Savannah has been doing such fun things at preschool! I looked in her backpack really quickly last week and asked her what all the pipe cleaners were for. She said "They are the letters in my name!" Then I said "Oh, good! Can you spell your name for me?" I left the room for a little bit and this is what I found when I came back: The sad thing is, is when Carlee got home they proceeded to make the pipe cleaners into something else, so she no longer has any letters to her name.

And I haven't been trying to neglect posting about Carlee, but she is gone for 7 hours every day ... However, she does go off-track next week for 4 LONG weeks. I will try to be a good mother and take pictures of her too while she is home! :)

I found the proof!! :)

I told you she loved Bear Lake even at a very young age! (I was unaware that these pictures were on the computer or I would have posted this earlier!) wasn't she an adorable baby too?!?

Bear Lake!!

We had a Davidson family vacation to Bear Lake. It was great! Relaxing on the beach, riding the wave runners, food, family, and fun!!

Here is Savannah after her ride on the wave runners. She did really well and we reached a speed of 14 mph with her!
This child is a fish. She has always loved the water. We had another Bear Lake vacation when she was only 7 or 8 months old and she loved it then too! She doesn't even care that the water was pretty cold! I was only happy in the water in the afternoon after the sun had warmed it up!

Carlee getting on the wave runner. This is my cautious child. We had to beg her to even try riding it. The only way she would go is if Ben and Ann (her uncle and aunt) took her. They reached a speed of maybe 5 mph, and just took her to the buoy and back. That's all she would allow.

Ann and I talking. I am huddled under a blanket so that I didn't fry myself. I always get sunburned and tried to prevent that from happening. My shoulders and upper chest got a little pink, nothing horrible, but my face got burned pretty bad. I really don't enjoy having sensetive skin that does nothing but burn ... and burn fast! I do love the beach, though!
